Originally by: EFFNCOX If this is a scam, why is Brock and his corp still part of SRS? Should I put SRS on my list of scam/gank/idiot alliances? It sure sounds like it. If he was hinting at scamming in alliance chat and people inside the alliance were using inside knowledge to sell their shares, then it sounds like most of the alliance was complicit in the scam.
The actions of one member do not equate to the actions of the entire alliance.
I will note that our alliance leadership is actively engaged in a discussion about what, exactly, our policy on scamming should be - leaning effectively towards "con man" stuff being against the rules (but not necessarily "always bet on stupid" things like Jita navy raven contracts). I trust we'll have hammered out an official alliance policy in the near future, though I doubt it will be retroactive as it was not prohibited at the time Brock executed his (really quite terrible) scam.
EDIT: Also, FWIW, I had shares in this, and didn't sell, and was quite disappointed when I discovered I'd been had.

Do you mean my moderately successful loan business? I wouldn't call it back alley.
Do you mean the loans I've taken from MD? I'm still current on interest, for over a year in one case.

Originally by: Brock Nelson FYI; Deth's been a member of the alliance for almost a month, I doubt he was even aware of my plan or the joking around in the alliance channel prior to joining.
Did you know that its pretty easy to look through corp histories? Deth's connections to SRS go way back. The web of alts coming out of SRS corps in general has made for some interesting reading. I now have a much better idea of what of what a certain group of MD poseters really are. It's a scam collective.
Originally by: Breaker77 And another useless alt with no posting history.
Explain to me why it matters that this is an alt posting in a thread from a scammer.
btw Deth your contacts list makes for an interesting read.
I don't even remember who I have on my contact list, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Does it show how I have them categorized? Maybe then I'd have a better idea what you could possibly be referencing.

It doesn't show how you have them categorized. The ones that interest me are the ones that are clearly not pvp alts. Its like a who's who of goon finance.
Huh, I wasn't aware I had that many goon financiers on there; I knew I had a couple Kalrand alts for a while, I thought I'd removed them a while back though. Neat!

Lets get down to it then. You say you were scammed as well. But you're still in SRS and so is Brock. Help the classless ( ) understand the situation. It would be difficult for some of us to continue any business relationships with you without understanding what's giong on with SRS.
Well, I'm in a C5 wormhole with a static C5. It's not that easy to just up and say "screw you guys, I'm taking my ball and going home". I'm also in my corp's leadership, and it's a great corp with people I really enjoy; I'm loathe to leave it.
I'm rather annoyed that Brock is still in SRS., but in the end it is, unfortunately, not my decision, and it's not like I have to deal with him on a regular basis (the neat part of wormholing, you really only have to like the people you actually play with in your wormhole for the most part).
Does that clear it up sufficiently for you?
